Summer Camp 2017 - we're going international!

Plan A is to attend the Danish National Jamboree (Spejdernes Lejr 2017) in Sønderborg. The Jamboree runs 22 – 30 July so we’ll be leaving on 20/21 July and returning 31 July/1 August. The Danish are hoping to attract 40,000 participants including 6,000 international Scouts – so this really will be a World Jamboree scale event. If Denmark doesn’t work out Plan B is to go to the Swedish National Jamboree in Rinkaby. The dates for this Jamboree are 5 – 12 August (leaving 3/4 August, returning 13/14 August).

Our final back-up plan is to stay at home and go to one of International Jamborees in the UK, however I don’t believe that this will offer such a good opportunity to develop links with Scouts from other countries.
